Opel Astra OPC / Vauxhall Astra VXR on Sale in 2012 Review. The new Astra GTC range or you who are in mainland Europe may call it as Opel Astra OPC and the Vauxhall Astra VXR in Britain has officially announced to enter production stage. A new 2.0 liter turbocharged direct injection four cylinder empowers the OPC, producing output of 280 hp and 400 Nm or 295 lb- ft or torque. The power is delivered through 6 speed manual gearbox and a specially created mechanical limited slip differential to the front wheels. With such a power, this new Astra GTC range is an appropriate rival to the Volkswagen Golf R and the Scirocco R. This is Opel Astra OPC

General Motor European division claimed that the Astra OPC is able to achieve the top speed of 155 mpg or equal to 250 km/h and run away from standstill to 100 km/ h or 62 mph. A raft of bespoke chassis mods are equipped on this Astra, covering Brembo brakes and a returned suspension along with GM’s adaptive FlexRide system which available with three settings, those are Normal, Sport and VXR/OPC.
