New Chevy Volt
NHTSA releases Chevy Volt fire investigation details. Chevrolet Volt has experienced a fire investigation at the organizational facilities. The investigation itself has been held by NHTSA or short of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The details related to the investigation also yesterday have been released by the NHTSA. A side- impact test on a Volt was done first, and then Chevy’s plug- in hybrid caught fire three weeks after the test. The battery was assumed to be the cause of the fire since its coolant line exploded while the car was doing the side- impact test. Due to the fact, the NHTSA has issued a ruling forcing hybrid and electric- car batteries to be dried off after badly damaged.
