Mitsubishi Electric Light Truck and Plug-in Hybrid Outlander Review
Mitsubishi Electric Light Truck
Here is a report from the Japan’s Nikkei business daily which said that Mitsubishi is creating a pure- electric light truck. If the report can be trusted, the Mitsubishi Electric Light Truck and Plug- in Hybrid will arrive on sale in the second quarter in the next two years.
Mitsubishi is said to be one of the first carmakers to take the EV market with the company’s iMieV which is a totally electric city car. The vehicle itself is just like the others such as Outlander SUV which has generated the PSA Peugeot Citroen variants as well.
The other reports also said that electric truck of Mitsubishi will go along and arrive in the market in the same time with the plug- in hybrid version of Mitsubishi’s crossover.
Just in the past November this year, the automaker also has showed off the PX- MiEV II concept at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show and it might give us some hints to the Outlander’s replacement along with its mechanical system.
Well, this Electric Light Truck is empowered by a 2.0 liter MIVEC gasoline engine which produces output of 94 ponies that works in conjunction with two 60 kW or 80 hp electric motors which is placed at the front and at the rear. The Lancer Evolution X’s Super- All Wheel Drive which is coupled to a new twin- motor AWD system delivers the power into all four wheels.
