Acura ILX Sedan
Acura has already chosen this year Chicago Auto Show which will be held in the upcoming week to show off its final production versions that were already displayed in showcar form in Detroit last month. The two versions are Acura’s all-new ILX compact sedan and the redesigned RDX crossover.
According to some reports, the automaker is only doing some subtle changes on the Acura’s all-new ILX compact sedan and the RDX crossover production models. The changes are limited to some slight styling details including the bumpers and the alloy wheels.
Let’s start with the 2013 ILX compact sedan. This premium compact sedan was built based on the running gear of the newest Honda Civic but it is differentiated by an exclusive sheetmetal. This ILX is sported by 2.0 liter inline four as a base level, while the higher level is the 2.4 liter four- cylinder which is coupled to a six- speed manual gearbox. The Acura’s first- ever hybrid offering also will be fitted into this ILX that is the 1.5 liter gasoline- electric hybrid powertrain. The ILX model will be launched this pring.
